Description6-hydroxymethyl-dihydropterin pyrophosphate is slightly soluble (in water) and an extremely strong acidic compound (based on its pKa). 6-hydroxymethyl-dihydropterin pyrophosphate can be found in a number of food items such as black huckleberry, chickpea, chinese chives, and annual wild rice, which makes 6-hydroxymethyl-dihydropterin pyrophosphate a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. 6-hydroxymethyl-dihydropterin pyrophosphate exists in E.coli (prokaryote) and yeast (eukaryote).
