Description8-Amino-7-oxononanoic acid, also known as 7-keto-8-aminopelargonic acid (7-KAP) or KAPA, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 4 and 12 carbon atoms. 8-Amino-7-oxononanoic acid has been identified in urine (PMID: 22409530 ).
